  1. wow! I have had chronic acne since 6th grade. I will be 36 in August. I have been on the Whole 30 for only 14 days but I see a huge difference in my skin already. I have tried everything out there from face scrubs and masks epensive face brushes and RX antibiotics. Nothing helped.
In 14 days. I see a change in my face break outs. Basically all blemishes are healing but nothing new. I am glad I came accross your blog. Thanks for sharing your success.
I did not know how much my life would change when I started the plan. But now I am thinking this is what I have been looking for since as long as I can remember. The cure for Acne.

  2. And @Sabrina:
Have you continued Whole30 or just stick to Paleo diet or what exactly?

    1. Not too far off the Whole30, but that's more strict than I could tolerate.

Paleo diet plus the occasional whey protein & artificial sweeteners, though not much of either. I also do not indulge in too much of the Paleo junk food, as carbs beget carbs beget weight gain.

  4. I know this is an old post but I just wanted to comment anyway. It was very helpful for me to read your post and see your pictures. I am on day 28 of the Whole30 and am having the exact same issues that you had. Even though I have not added anything back yet I have a burning suspicion that soy is the reason I have had such bad acne for life (34 now). I tested for a soy allergy years ago but never connected the dots on it being the cause of my acne. Now after reading about your reaction to adding soy, I am 100% that is my problem too.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your pictures, it is so nice to see someone else free themselves from this condition. You look amazing. Have you kept soy out of your diet in order to keep your results? Thanks!

    1. Yep, I keep soy out completely, as I will react to even minute amounts. I still often have breakouts after eating at restaurant, even though what I've eaten is totally Paleo - but oils used in cooking are almost guaranteed to be soy-based. And I still haven't pinpointed everything I react to just yet. It's an ongoing frustration.
